I am Thorn.  In this I stand for each plant, tree, and shrub that uses me for protection.

         I am Thorn.  Those who chose me are generally most vulnerable.  They have soft hearts that are open wide.

         I am Thorn.  I guard the way.  I protect flesh from flesh.  But I have no power over Spirit.

         I am Thorn.  Flesh must be protected.  But Spirit must be open.  Though some of flesh seek to wound Spirit as well as flesh, closing the way to Spirit is not the answer.

         I am Thorn.  Even when I am made into a crown and pierce the flesh so deeply, Spirit must be open still--Spirit must speak gently.
