I am Ostrich.  A bird who cannot fly.  A bird who abandoned the sky to stay closer to the ground.

          I am Ostrich.  I do not bury my head and refuse to see my problems.  I lower my head to be less visible.  Standing tall may at times invite danger.  Sometimes you need not to be seen.

          I am Ostrich.  I reach the Spirits of the sky and draw them down to Earth.  I let my flying cousins have the winds.  I take the grounded path.

          I am Ostrich.  Knowing who you are despite what others think is a giant step forward.  Being true to your own spirit though others question your understanding is another giant step forward.  Enough giant steps forward take you on your journey as surely as ever flying did.

          I am Ostrich.  Flying close to the ground in my imagination.
