I am
Cottonwood. I mark the place where water can be found.
I am
Cottonwood. I grow beside the stream. I grow beside the pool.
I grow and shade a home for you. I grow and make it sacred.
I am
Cottonwood. I am not the largest of trees, but then I am also not
the smallest. I am not the most beloved of trees, but then I am also
not the most hated. I am in-between. I am in the middle.
I am
Cottonwood. Though you may begrudge the water I take, I take no more
than I need. I do not waste what is so precious.
I am
Cottonwood. Do you seek more than your share? Do you take what
should go to others? Do you forget that you are part of All?
I am
Cottonwood. I am not the greatest of trees, but I have a place within
the All. Who else would stand beside you in this place?
Cottonwood bears the
Gift of connection. Can we
Learn to share our Love?
