I am Seahorse. Once upon a fairy tale, the princess spoke a curse.
The prince dissolved into his horse and grew so very small. Without
a thought for what he did, he jumped into the river.
I am Seahorse. The river carried him to the ocean where he was quite
alone. He feared the deep wide-open sea, so he stayed close to shore.
I am Seahorse. In the shallow waters, Water Spirits came to him.
They looked him up and down and wondered what it was they'd found.
I am Seahorse. They learned he had a pouch where his pockets used
to be. They thought what a convenient spot to hatch their eggs risk-free.
I am Seahorse. They brought the eggs and put them in his pouch.
They told him to take care of them and teach them when they hatched.
I am Seahorse. He found that being mother/father was quite a lot
of fun. He guarded the eggs and watched them hatch, and loved his
children every one.
