I
am Pride. You have been taught in no uncertain terms that I am a
mortal sin and will keep you out of Heaven.
I am Pride. This is not so. There are no mortal sins because
there is no judgment.
I am Pride. The point your religions were trying to make was to be
humble before their god--and not to place your own accomplishments before
those of their creator. In this teaching there was more than just
a little fear that he who sticks his head above the crowd becomes an easy
target.
I am Pride. Do you think the Creator took no pride in the Creation?
Do you think total dispassion ruled the day when the Creator looked on
the Sun and the Moon and said that they were good? Think again.
I am Pride. Pride can be held with or without Love. Without
Love it separates the holder even more from the source of the All.
With Love it rejoins the holder with the Creator in joyous awe and wonder
at what Love can create.
I am Pride. Do not be afraid to be proud of your accomplishments
in Love--of the loving work of your hands and hearts and Spirits.
Know that such Pride is a return to the All that created this universe.
Offer your Pride to the piece of God within you. It will tell you
whether or not you have reason to be proud.
